Membership Applications
Individual
- The ACI welcomes applications for membership from anyone with an interest or experience in Compliance, risk, and related fields of management, over the age of 18years.
- All members who have paid the annual membership fees will be designated as ordinary members.
- Life memberships can be awarded by the Board of the ACI to individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary contribution to the compliance and risk community over an extended period.
Corporate
- The ACI welcomes applications from incorporated public and private entities with an interest in supporting the development of the compliance and risk community in Australia and other countries with a particular emphasis on Asia Pacific.
- Corporate membership will be designated at one of four levels being Bronze, Silver Gold and Principal on the payment of the annual fees as detailed from time to time by the ACI Board.
- The ACI reserves the right to refuse any application for membership or terminate the membership of any individual or corporate member. Termination would be determined by the Board after due process.
Conduct and Code of Ethics
- All members agree to support the vision and purposes of the ACI and agree to be bound by the relevant codes as determined and published by the Board from time to time, and by the Constitution as determined by the Board by Special General Meeting.
- Specifically, all members agree to abide by the Code of Ethics as determined by the Board from time to time.
Membership Subscriptions
- Individual and Corporate Memberships fees are payable annually and are due on 1 July of each Australian Financial year.
- The ACI does not offer monthly pro-rata fees and is not able to provide payment plans or the facility to offer periodic payments of annual membership fees.
- Membership fee will be reviewed annually and may be changed as approved by the ACI Board. Changes to fees will be notified to members in writing and will be posted on the website at least one month before the changes are effective.
- Membership payments not received within 60 days of the due date will result in the membership being considered lapsed and all services will be suspended including any right to use of accreditation and qualification designations that are dependent on current membership.
Corporate Member Nominations
- Each Corporate member will identify a Primary Contact who will be authorised to add and remove employee members nominated under their corporate membership.
- The Primary Contact will nominate current employees as individuals to be registered as current members for as long as they are employed by the corporate member, or for as long as they are nominated by the Primary Contact.
Reduced Fees
- Reduced membership fees will be available for those members joining the ACI as a new member between 1 January and 1 May each year. In this circumstance the membership fee will be 50% of the annual membership rate.
- Membership in kind and other discounts on fees may be available to corporate members, as determined by the Board.
Membership Resignation and Refunds
- A member may resign or cancel their membership at any time by giving notice in writing to the ACI.
- No refunds can be made on membership fees paid by individual or corporate members.
The ACI reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time after due process.
