At the senior executive end of the compliance profession, you have more complex needs that are vital to support. Still, like the peak of any curve, it may also mean refining your knowledge and skills rather than the steep knowledge spikes you made earlier in your career and learning.
A Compliance Specialist invests in continued learning
If you’re a senior compliance risk executive with all your formal ‘learning’ from others behind you, where’s your place at the Australian Compliance Institute?
How can the connection with fellow professionals benefit you within our membership?
The Australian Compliance Institute values Compliance specialists like you and your peers, so we created the accreditation and professional development journey with your needs and those of the industry at our core.
When we first formed the idea of an education pathway for compliance professionals, we had some central needs members asked us to deliver:
- immediate training for those on their team starting in compliance for the first time.
- leadership level training to help them along their journey and show those coming into the profession that there is a tangible way forward.
Stay at the top of your career with the Australian Compliance Institute
Make the most of your Australian Compliance Institute membership and in turn you can expand your influence. Engage with fellow members through:
- sector-specific briefings, roundtables and discussion groups for broadening your sector knowledge and experience.
- leadership level training from our partners and internal speakers.
- regulatory briefings at leadership level – essential annually with the constant regulatory turnover.
- working parties, submissions and speaking opportunities for yourself to develop and share your knowledge and provide input for change.

Apply to undertake a CCRP (Fellow)
If you apply for a CCRP (Fellow) research project, you will achieve the highest certification mark recognition possible through the Australian Compliance Institute.
Applying for CCRP (Fellow) requires several criteria to be met, including:
- Underlying qualifications – evidence of your core skills and knowledge (CCRP equivalent).
- Referee support from your peers in compliance attesting to your experience, knowledge and leadership.
- Volunteer hours for ACI in any approved/evidenced capacity.
- Completing a Fellow Research Project with the Australian Compliance Institute (or an approved external tertiary body).
The research project needs to answer a question that will benefit the compliance profession or provide a tangible resource.
As the author of this work, you would be acknowledged, but would consent to donate the licence for the IP of the resource or work to the Australian Compliance Institute.
You will be assigned a research Fellow supervisor from our Alumni and be supported throughout your project by your supervisor and the Australian Compliance Institute staff and resources.
You would not be paid for your time. This would, instead, contribute to your volunteer hours toward your CCRP (Fellow) application.
Share your knowledge for the benefit of fellow professionals
We welcome CCRP (Fellow) applications from our membership, especially those already accredited as CCRP Professionals.
CCRP (Fellow) certification on your CV will help you stand out and take you to new career heights as you move on from core compliance roles and potentially into governance, Board and other positions.
Don’t let your experience and insights go to waste; they are invaluable when channelled into a resource for the compliance professionals who follow you.
