Important notice: impersonation of the Australian Compliance Institute

The Australian Compliance Institute (ACI) has identified a website operating at australiancomplianceinstitute[.]com that is trading under our name and selling short-form online training courses. That website is not operated by ACI, is not affiliated with us, and is not authorised to use our name or to issue any certificate representing ACI training.
ACI’s only official website is www.compliance.org.au, and all enrolments in ACI courses, qualifications and events are completed through this website. ACI is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91640) and the professional membership association for compliance professionals in Australia.
We have reported the matter today to the National Anti-Scam Centre, to Shopify (which hosts the impersonating store), and to Google. We are also pursuing the removal of associated impersonating social media profiles and have notified further agencies.
If you have purchased a course through australiancomplianceinstitute[.]com, we recommend you:
- contact your bank or card issuer to request a chargeback;
- lodge a report with the National Anti-Scam Centre at scamwatch.gov.au; and
- report the matter to ReportCyber, the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s reporting portal, at cyber.gov.au/report
To verify any compliance training provider, in addition to checking the official domain and contact details, you can:
- search the national VET regulator’s register at training.gov.au for the provider’s RTO code and scope of registration;
- check that any nationally recognised qualification carries its formal national code (for example, FNS80020) and is issued as a Statement of Attainment or testamur bearing the nationally recognised training mark; and
- verify the provider’s ABN at abr.business.gov.au.
